One vehicle for your group, a 5 am pickup at your accommodation and five hours in the terrace pools, the grotto and the thermal river.
Updated 7 October 2026
You book the whole vehicle. Pickup is at 5 am at your address in Mexico City, the drive to Hidalgo takes about four hours, and the day runs 13 hours from door back to door. Price starts at $171 per booking, with a rating of 4.8 from 188 reviews.
Entrance tickets are in the price, and that is worth more than it looks on the invoice. Everything inside the park is paid in cash, cards are not accepted anywhere, and the nearest ATM is in Ixmiquilpan, about an hour away by road.
Also included: private air-conditioned transport, bottled water and one small snack bag. Lunch is not part of it. There are restaurants and a grocery shop inside the park, so bring pesos in cash for food, for the MXN 300 zipline if you want it, and for anything else you buy on site.
The park sits at 1,280 m at the bottom of a canyon, and the day is built around three things: roughly 40 terrace pools on the cliff face, the big grotto with the tunnel beside it, and the turquoise thermal river. The operator's listing gives an average water temperature of around 34–38 °C. The park's own pages do not fully agree with each other: 36–38 °C for the cave, tunnel and terrace pools, 34–36 °C for the river on the English page and 36–38 °C for the river on the Spanish one.
Five hours inside the park is the standard allowance, and you can add extra hours by arrangement. Plan around the schedule rather than the daylight: the caves, tunnel, waterfalls, swimming pools, suspension bridge, zipline and lockers all run 8:00 to 17:00, while the thermal river and some terrace pools stay open to 21:00. A 5 am pickup gets you to the pools while they are still quiet.
On site there are toilets and showers, changing rooms, a basic medical service and shops. Take a swimsuit and water shoes, plus dry clothes for the drive home.
Your group alone in an air-conditioned vehicle, picked up at your accommodation at 5 am, with park entrance tickets, bottled water and a small snack bag included. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure.

All four departures below are private, so the choice comes down to price, how long the day lasts and what the operator provides. The tour on this page has by far the most feedback, 4.8 from 188 reviews, and includes park tickets.
The two 12-hour options start lower, from $151 and $154, and suit groups content with a shorter day; the $248 departure has only five reviews so far, so there is less to go on.
